Concept
"It's Okay To Be Sad" wants to stand against the architects of the Fake Happiness Facade that we sometimes find in the world. Against the perfect Instagram feed - where the sun always shines high over the infinity pool. We know that life is much richer than that, we will get some happy days and some sad ones, and that's okay.
Personally, in December 2020, because of my questionable values and actions, my girlfriend left me. This spiralled me into a difficult place for a long time. While trying to process, in therapy and with friends, I cried a lot. Instinctively, at first, I hid it - then, slowly, I told myself "it's Okay To Be Sad". Every step is part of the process, part of learning, part of healing, part of the walk of life.
To have happy days, we need sad days, and that's okay :(:
